10 Watt LED Sidemarkers - Tippster Automotive

As these are technically still in their 1-off prototype stage, this is set up as a technical description.

We have successfully integrated a 10 watt LED into the standard housing, wired up the 12v driver, heat sinked it, mounted it all together, and made the whole thing essentially waterproof.

Benefits:
Increased visibility when turning.
Effectively a lifetime light source.
No load resistors needed for VAG-CAN systems.
Visible for nearly a mile away.
590nm Amber diode matches all other amber LED bulbs.

Drawbacks:
Costs more than the standard 194 bulb.

Testing:
Owner of Tippster Automotive has been running these on his A4 since January of 2013, and had zero problems.
Bench testing consists of 15 minutes on flash at 1.4 Hz, and 5 minutes continuous "ON" to test the heat sink capabilities.

Videos:
    The top video shows a comparison between a 10 piranha LEDs prototype (on the vehicle) and the original 10 watt prototype of the side markers. The piranhas are already brighter than the stock bulbs, or anything else on the market... but we figured why not go brighter.
    The bottom video shows how they look at night, as well as during the day.
